Neeli Kirkendall, DNP, RN, FNP-C has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 11 years. She began her nursing career as an RN on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at University of Mississippi Medical Center. After completing her MSN, she was employed with the Department of Otolaryngology at UMMC. She then moved home to Kosciusko to practice in primary care. Her nursing journey changed a few years ago when she accepted a faculty position with UMMC, School of Nursing, Oxford campus. Since joining faculty, she has been inducted into the Nelson Order at UMMC, as well as received the Daisy Faculty Award. In 2017, she was nominated for faculty of the year at the MNA Nightingale Ceremony. Neeli is a member of Mississippi Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Neeli is an active member of the Oxford- Lafayette community and volunteers for community events such as Wellness on Wheels and Community Health Advocacy activities. She has been married to her husband, Craig, for 16 years. They have three children, and are active members of their church home. The Kirkendalls enjoy sporting events, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Neeli enjoys practicing at Oxford Pediatric Group, where the providers and staff share the goal of providing excellent care to children of the Oxford-Lafayette community.
